If anyone does not believe dedication to excellence
and determination to succeed eventually pay off, then
they have not met young 14yrs old LISA. Who sings,
writes, dance, and plays the piano, guitar, drums,
alto sax and clarinet.
Born April 4, 1995 in Shanghai, China
and raised up in Seattle, WA. Arriving to the U.S.A.,
from China with her mother at 3 yrs. old, about the
same time LISA remembers lying in her crib trying
to sing rather than talk. Not knowing, talent was
already in her genes. Her mother was a nurse in the
army and she performed, along with her father being
a professional dancer on Broadway for 15yrs.
Young LISA came into her own with
a first performance, in front of a large audience
at a Baseball game singing the National Anthems at
7 yrs. old. This started the quest so she got involved
and stayed involved in school choirs, church choir,
local community metropolitan choir and special performances.
Now, all that practice has paid off
LISA has signed her first recording contract with
Rainy City Records. The first single from her new
CD is “Yo Yo” which will hit the airwaves this fall.
When asked, who were some of her influences, she said,
“Christina Aguilera and Celine Dion because their
really both strong singers and good vocalist”. In
addition, she likes the way they set out their music,
to her it inspires people to do things they never
done before. Again when asked, what current hip hop/rap/artist
do she like, LISA said, “T.I, Beyonce’ and Christina
Aguilera, because a lot of their music means something
and it’s not like stupid. They actually took some
time to write the lyric to teach someone or want to
share a story with someone“. Also asked, what do you
like to do in your spare time? “I like being with
my friends and going to the football games, NASCAR
and watching Karate.
So LISA, what do you see ahead for
yourself in 3 years? “I see myself, within 3 years
to be just about finished with college and hopefully
my songs are playing on the radio and on the Billboard
charts. Because this has been a dream of mine since
a kid, I knew exactly what I wanted to do, I said,
when I grew up, I was going to do this…...LISA
